Faith, Doubt,
and Spiritual Disorientation
Exploring questions of faith and meaning when certainty has crumbled
When beliefs that once anchored your life begin to shift or crumble, the disorientation can be profound. Questions about faith, meaning, or spiritual identity often bring grief, confusion, and a sense of not knowing who you are anymore.
Common experiences include:
Feeling lost when old beliefs no longer fit
Grief over the loss of certainty or community
Fear of what others will think if you're honest about your doubts
Questions about identity when faith was central to who you were
Isolation from people who don't understand your questions
Uncertainty about what to believe or where to belong
How I Approach Faith and Doubt Counselling in Vancouver
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in Vancouver with a background in pastoral ministry, I work with adults navigating faith transitions, doubt, and spiritual disorientation. Counselling here isn't about defending or dismantling your beliefs. It's about creating space to explore your questions honestly.
What We Work On Together
We explore what's shifting in your beliefs and what that means for your identity, relationships, and sense of meaning. What you're grieving. What you're discovering. What it might mean to live with uncertainty or to rebuild faith on different foundations.
Faith transitions are deeply personal journeys. There's no right way to navigate them. The work is about finding language for what you're experiencing and making space for whatever is emerging.
The Work Is Collaborative
We move at your pace. Some people come early in their questions, others after years of doubt. Wherever you are, there's no judgement. We work together to understand what's been happening, notice what's shifting, and support the changes that feel meaningful to you.
